For more than two decades, Dan Lavoie has worked on all sides of politics, policy, and media to help build a more just and equitable nation. Most recently, Dan served as Communications Director at City Harvest, helping New York's first and largest food rescue organization deliver more than 300 million pounds of food to New Yorkers in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to that, Dan led advocacy communications at the environmental law organization EarthJustice, served as Chief Speechwriter and Senior Advisor for the New York State Attorney General's office, and worked as a political reporter in Washington, DC, Oakland, and Chicago. Through his consultancy, Justice Agenda, Dan has partnered with the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, and many other groups dedicated to racial, economic, and social justice. A longtime resident of New York City, Dan lives in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, with his partner, two kids, and two dogs.
