Kellsie Sayers is the Director of Restorative Practices at the Center for Justice Innovation, overseeing the Center's restorative practice initiatives across a broad range of demonstration projects. Ms. Sayers previously managed the day-to-day operations of a multi-year randomized controlled trial of restorative practices in 5 high suspension Brooklyn high schools. Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Sayers worked as a public defender for the Legal Aid Society Criminal Defense Practice, providing legal representation to indigent clients on misdemeanor and felony cases. Ms. Sayers is a graduate of Howard University with a BA in Political Science and a BA in Afro-American Studies. She received her Juris Doctorate from the New York University School of Law, and Master of Social Work from the New York University Silver School of Social Work.
