Through stories and numbers, our annual report provides a snapshot of the Center for Court Innovation's work in 2019. Each year, through our operating programs, research and analysis, and consulting services for reformers around the globe, our work touches the lives of tens of thousands of people.
As we continue to grow as an agency, our overriding belief in the importance of forming partnerships to change practice on the ground—whether in communities or courthouses—remains unchanged. This year's Annual Report captures that belief with a particular focus on four aspects of our work: increasing access to justice, especially for the most vulnerable; empowering neighborhoods to address violence and disinvestment through placemaking and entrepreneurship; exploring new ways of using art to produce positive change for individuals and communities; and testing the use of restorative justice to heal rather than punish in diverse settings.
