Danielle Mindess is the Project Director of Midtown Community Court, a program of the Center for Justice Innovation. At Midtown, she oversees a range of Court and community-based programs, including Manhattan’s Misdemeanor Mental Health and Emerging Adult Court Parts, a youth weapons possession diversion program, community engagement efforts, and Community First, a street outreach initiative in Times Square. Prior to joining the Center, she worked at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office where she oversaw the Criminal Justice Investment Initiative, a $250 million fund of bank asset forfeiture money that the Office invested in community and Court-based crime prevention and community development strategies. Earlier in her career, Danielle helped establish and manage an adult education program for homeless and justice-impacted men at The Doe Fund, taught English in Buenos Aires, Argentina, coordinated the Atlanta production of Suzan-Lori Parks’ yearlong theater festival, 365 Days/365 Plays, and worked as a professional theater director and actor. She holds a BA in Theater Studies from Emory University and an MPA from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
