Olivia is a senior director at the Center for Justice Innovation (formerly the Center for Court Innovation), with over 10 years of experience in criminal legal system reform. In her current role, she oversees pretrial services programs across Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY, where she works to build innovation pretrial models that focus on supportive services. With a strong focus on designing and implementing impactful solutions to pretrial challenges, she manages the Supervised Release program, supervising over 6,000 participants each year who have been released with pretrial supervision.
Olivia's career is marked by her commitment to advancing evidence-based justice reform strategies. In her previous role as Deputy Director of Research-Practice Strategies, she conducted original research, provided expert technical assistance, and supported jurisdictions participating in the MacArthur Foundation’s Safety and Justice Challenge. Prior to that, as Project Director at the Staten Island Justice Center, she developed alternative-to-incarceration programming and fostered community-based projects.
She began her career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, NY, managing all stages of criminal prosecution and developing innovative approaches to prosecution. Olivia's work has been recognized through numerous publications and speaking engagements on topics such as pretrial reform, restorative prosecution, and criminal justice reform more broadly.
Olivia holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. in English from Fordham University, where she graduated cum laude. She is admitted to the New York State Bar, Second Department.
