Yolaine Menyard is the clinical advisor of policy and research at the Center for Court Innovation. Yolaine provides technical assistance to diverse stakeholders addressing the overuse of jail and works on the development of holistic, evidence-generating practices and interventions. Prior to joining policy and research, Yolaine was responsible for managing all aspects of clinical operations for the alternatives to incarceration department at the Red Hook Community Justice Center. She joined the Center in 2011 and was a leader in developing trauma-informed and racial and culturally responsive programming for people who have contact with the criminal legal system. Her prior work has focused on providing services to young people with serious mental health issues, adults transitioning from jail and prison, and undocumented survivors of domestic violence. Yolaine is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the State of New York and received her MSW from the University of Chicago.
