Domestic Violence Court Planning Toolkit
The domestic violence court planning toolkit was designed to guide courts and communities in developing or enhancing their own domestic violence courts.
It offers a framework for court- and system-based stakeholders to engage in assessment, planning, and implementation activities, including:
- creation of a planning team;
- development of a work plan;
- design of a data-collection and needs-assessment strategy;
- system-mapping and analysis of current domestic violence case-flow and caseload;
- community resource assessment.
The materials in the toolkit are based upon best practices identified through the Center’s work with domestic violence courts.
