Los Angeles County Partners
Our Los Angeles County programming proudly partners with the following:
- The Amity Foundation has historically provided an array of quality direct services to the legal system-impacted population in California since 1990 and in Arizona since 1981. Amity has long been committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, which aligns with the principles adopted by Los Angeles County in forging Care First Community Investment, and takes pride in its workforce that deeply represents the life experiences of the individuals it serves. The lived experience of over 50% of Amity’s direct services faculty creates a natural affinity for the work of the community-based organizations that will provide services under CFCI and non-CFCI funds. Amity also brings a wealth of experience providing Third-Party Administrator services and currently administers well over $30 million annually to numerous community-based organizations throughout Los Angeles County and the State of California.
- The Exodus Recovery mission is “to bring the tools for the best possible quality of life to our clients. Our concept of total health care incorporates the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each client. Our program strives to create an environment which promotes the dignity of all participating and to develop services maximizing clients’ self-determination."
- HealthRIGHT 360 gives hope, builds health, and changes lives for people in need. We do this by providing compassionate, integrated care that includes primary medical, mental health, substance use disorder treatment and re-entry services.
- The Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office is the finest client-centered criminal defense firm in the nation, providing a beacon for evolutionary and revolutionary changes in the justice system.
- The Los Angeles County Alternatives to Incarceration Office (ATI), which has been charged by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors (Board), has been working toward a vision of providing "Care First, Jails Last." In the Fall of 2022, ATI Office will evolve into the Justice, Care and Opportunities Department (JCOD), consolidating county-wide justice reform efforts under one department.
- LISC LA is one of 38 offices of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a national non-profit organization supporting community development in cities and rural areas throughout the country. LISC’s Los Angeles program forges resilient and inclusive communities of opportunity across America – great places to live, work, visit, do business and raise families. This comprehensive approach builds more resilient communities throughout Los Angeles.
- The Long Beach City Prosecutor’s office is responsible for prosecuting all adult misdemeanor crimes committed within the City of Long Beach. Examples of cases prosecuted by the Long Beach City Prosecutor include battery, theft, vandalism, DUI, drug possession, domestic violence, prostitution, brandishing a weapon, graffiti, hate crimes, and code enforcement.
- The Los Angeles City Attorney plays a leading role in shaping the future of our city by fighting to improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods, reducing gang activity, preventing gun violence, standing up for consumers and the elderly, protecting our environment and so much more. The City Attorney's office writes every municipal law, advises the Mayor, City Council and all city departments and commissions, defends the city in litigation, brings forth lawsuits on behalf of the people and prosecutes misdemeanor crimes such as domestic violence, drunk driving and vandalism. This office strives every day to make Los Angeles a better and safer place to live, work, raise a family and visit.
- The Los Angeles County Office of the Alternate Public Defender (“APD”) was created by the County Board of Supervisors in 1993 to stem the rising costs of indigent defense in cases where the Public Defender had a conflict of interest. Although the APD handles every type of misdemeanor and felony case, it distinguishes itself by its representation in the most complex, serious, and otherwise costly cases for the county.
- The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office advances an effective, ethical, and racially equitable system of justice that protects the community, restores victims of crime, and honors the rights of the accused. LA DA is a learning organization that believes in reduced incarceration and punishment except in circumstances in which it is proportional, in the community’s interest, and serves a rehabilitative or restorative purpose.

It is the largest Sheriff's Department in the world, with approximately 18,000 employees. The LASD Lancaster Station is a site for the Prefiling Diversion Program. - With rates of recidivism as high as 70% in some parts of Los Angeles, Project 180 is turning lives around through comprehensive diversion and re-entry programs for Angelenos involved in the criminal justice system. Providing a “one-stop shop” approach, Project 180 provides the services needed to address the complex and deep-rooted issues that have placed, and keep, people in the criminal justice system. With practical solutions, tailor-made programs, and compassionate care, Project 180 keeps people out of the system and in their communities. Project 180 is a division of Special Service for Groups, Inc. (SSG), a non-profit health and human service organization dedicated to building and sustaining community-based programs that address the needs of vulnerable communities.
