Helping Those Most Affected by COVID-19
Zip code data shows residents in certain communities are experiencing disproportionately higher rates of COVID-19 infection.
Our Neighborhood Safety Initiatives, in partnership with the Mayor's Action Plan for Neighborhood Safety, works with residents of 17 public housing developments across New York City, and those communities are experiencing disproportionately higher rates of COVID-19 infection.
We are conducting needs assessments (see below) of residents at the 17 developments on a weekly basis and are working closely with city agencies to deliver necessities to the most high-risk residents who are not yet connected to services. Teams from our Neighborhood Safety Initiatives are also sharing updated information about the COVID-19 pandemic, for example, in this resource guide.
